Summerplace Farm Horse Shows have been regarded as one of "Virginia's best shows" for over 20 years. Tom Finch (manager) and the staff,
continue to be committed to making your show experience the finest at affordable prices. The Summerplace show facility
offers 70 acres of meticulously kept park-like setting, well maintained dust free rings with excellent all-weather footing (150 x 275 main ring, and a 75 x 160 schooling ring),
extensive open areas with jumps provide superior preparation room. In addition, there are permanent wash racks, great food through-out the day and convenient parking.
The schedule is designed to serve a diverse group of competitors, from the learning to the legendary.
Summerplace invites you to join your peers and take advantage of Virginia's most awarded show, and have fun. Every year the shows have new additions to meet exhibitors' growing needs.
The season consists of nine full day weekend hunter shows beginning in April and culminating with the Awards Finals in October. Series winners are recipients of a host of awards, from division high points to special individual awards, most in cash. Along with many of these coveted awards, this year's participants will accumulate points towards the $4500 Grand Rider Challenge, the. $500 High Point Adult Amateur, $750 Coach's Award and the Best Adult and Junior Rider's are awarded Journeymen custom chaps.
Show grounds are conveniently located in The Plains, Virginia on Rte. 17 near Great Meadow. The season will further host a number of Thursday evening shows that are informal and fun for all. Evening shows begin in June and run though August on select dates.
